The music of the anthem was based on the melody of the Uzbek SSR anthem, composed by Mutavakkil Burkhanov, with some modifications. The new lyrics were written by poet Abdulla Aripov.
The State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan reflects the national spirit and aspirations of the Uzbek people, as well as symbolizes the independence and sovereignty of the country.
